Fun With Trains

Dominic got a train set for Christmas (battery powered) and we set it up a few days ago.  It’s pretty cool, and I can’t remember the last time I’ve played with one.  What a great thing to shoot!  Here is my Setup and Result.

For those interested, here is the EXIF.   24mm, F13, 0.6seconds, ISO200  –  430EXII in hotshoe ETTL, 2nd-curtain sync, FEC -2/3

A Small Piece Of Lake Michigan

When in Muskegon last week, we had a chance to get to Lake Michigan, check out a lighthouse and even a nice sunset.  I was fascinated by these huge boulders going out to the lighthouse. Lots of texture and made a great focal point.

New Gear – Great Subject!

Yes! My Cheetah Qbox has arrived and although I haven’t gotten down to experimenting with its vast array of features, I managed to do some quick test shots with what little time I have.   Dominic by now can’t stand the sight of a camera, but he somehow cooperated with Dad’s new toys.  Maybe he knew?  Enjoy….
