Got her together today, gas tank and all since I had do do some heavy cleaning and maintenance. Yes the kids toys in the background don’t make for a pleasant composition here, but it’s what I had to work with 😉

Yesterday evening we had a gorgeous warm night and I wanted to try something a little different with the sun setting. Without completely blowing out the sky which wasn’t the objective here, I wanted to meter for the sun, underexpose the foreground and just use fill in flash to expose Cristina, and Dominic. This way you can actually see the sun in these compositions. They turned out pretty good I must say, even with harsh light. Can’t believe I got Dominic to smile!! He never smiles for photographs.
Although I must say, I truly do love the last photo. I didn’t capture the sunset in it, but it’s just a warm, great capture!

Yes it’s a little early, but it’s here right?! Wrong, I know it’s MI, but when you get a 60 degree day you have to jump on it! I don’t think Dominic could be any happier, and we got around to doing some fun stuff today.
Here are some of the highlights…. ( Look at that swing!! ) 😉
